Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 Exam Notification

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification regarding CTET exam 2018 which is a mandatory test to pass to apply for teacher vacancies from class I to  VIII. Every year lacks aspirants appear for Central Teacher Eligibility Test to become eligible for appointment as a teacher. Those who are qualified and interested in the exam can submit their online application form from 16 September 2018 to 19 July 2018. Test Name: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

Conducted For: Teachers eligibility from class I to VIII

Required Qualification:

To becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or its equivalent.
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

To becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

  • Graduation in any discipline and appearing in the final year or passed the 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
  • Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks and appearing the final year or passed the 1 years B.Ed. course
  • Graduation in any discipline with 45% marks and appearing the final year or passed the 1 years B.Ed. course as per NCTE Norms 2002
  • Senior Secondary or Equivalent exam with 50% marks and appearing or passed the final year of 4 years B.El.Ed. Exam (Bachelor in Elementary Education) Or B.Sc. B.Ed. or B.A. /B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks and appearing the final year or passed the 1 years B.Ed. course in Special Education

Application Fee:

  • General/ OBC Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 600/- (for anyone paper) and Rs. 1,000/- (for both paper).
  • A candidate belongs to the SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person category needs to submit the application fee of Rs. 300/- (for anyone paper) and Rs. 500/- (for both papers).
  • Application fee can be deposit through online mode only using by net banking/credit card or debit card as well as through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank in favor of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi

Selection Process:

CBSE will prepare a merit list according to the marks obtained in the CTET 2018 to shortlist the candidates.

Instructions to Apply for CTET Application Form 2018:

  • Aspirants need to open the link of organized examination that is ctet.nic.in
  • Thereafter, candidates need to follow the “Public Notice 29-05-2018” link given on the home page to get all the details about the test under “current Event” section.
  • Now in the next step candidates need to fill up the correct details as asked and registered them online and upload the photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature
  • The application fee must be paid in online mode by Credit/ Debit Card or through another payment mode.
  • In the end, submit the form and get a printed copy of it for further use.

Important Dates:

  • Start date to submit online application: 22nd June 2018
  • Closing date of online application form submission: 19th July 2018
  • Date for application fee submission: 21st July 2018
  • CTET Exam Dates: 16th September 2018
